Forza Football Academy

One big part of our mission work is our football academy, which was founded in Siem Reap, Cambodia, back in 2016.

It all started when our designer Kalle lived in Siem Reap. He noticed that there was a need for kids to play for organized clubs and that only a low number of kids had access to the few existing pitches. One day he met Charlie, the one running the academy, and together Forza Football decided to help out, and give as many youths as possible the chance to play football and learn from great coaches.

Facebook

This project has taken many kids off the streets and given them a purpose and a place where they can grow and be part of a community. Today, in 2018, around 150 young players train football in our academy, and we reach up to 800 kids in our community programmes every week. Besides that, players have the chance to become a coach for further personal development.

We won’t stop in Siem Reap. Were learning every day and working to take the Forza Academy to new parts of the world. Were determined to give everyone a chance to play football.

The Future

We can never quote our mission too many times – we want to make the world of football a better place and available for everyone.

We want to use the industry of football to improve life skills of those young adults most affected by Covid-19, along with everyone else.

In partnership between our flagship, Forza Football, the Forza Academy presents the Football for Development program.

The world record

During the summer of 2018, we made history – we broke a world record in Siem Reap.

The record we wanted to beat was the most amount of players in one football game, going on non stop. The record at the time was set in Chile with 2357 players.

After 85 hours, in 33C and pouring rain, 2734 players of all ages, races, backgrounds and genders had participated and together they scored 1095 goals!

We wanted to create awareness around the academy and possibly attract more kids to join, and also to inspire other companies to do something similar.
